Ben Platt first stormed onto the cinema screens in the hit musical film, ‘Pitch Perfect’, as Benji Applebaum, the nerdy guy who won our hearts with his voice and cute nervousness. Platt has a talent for portraying characters and music in a way that is empathetic and utterly believable – for his title role in ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ he won the Tony Award for ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical’ as the youngest recipient at the time.
Platt has captured the hearts of music fans with his personal music too, his first two studio albums receiving critical acclaim and striking a chord with a lot of people. His debut album, ‘Sing to Me Instead’ and released in 2019, has the hit tracks, ‘Bad Habit’ and ‘Ease My Mind’ that strike a personal, relatable note. His second album, ‘Reverie’, released in 2021, revealed the growth Platt went through as an artist.

Platt states that ‘Honeymind’ was partly inspired by 70’s music icons, such as Carole King and James Taylor, and is his first release with Interscope Records.
