A revolution is kicking off this summer. The American indie rock band O.A. R. is heading back to the road. Kicking off a sonic revolution trek for their Summer Tour 24, they're performing at 38 shows across the US, tagging along special guest Fitz and The Tantrums. Nope, it isn't all in just a dream. The band looks forward to sharing their biggest hits, crowd favorites, and new anthems on stage. The summer bash follows their extensive roster of shows with The Goo Goo Dolls last year. With non-stop shows lined up, they aren't backing down anytime soon. Releasing a surprise cover of Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" with the aforementioned band, it's a bright rockin' road ahead with O.A.R.

"It’s time for us to get out there and play a full set, jam out, and have another best summer of our lives," lead vocalist Marc Roberge shared in a statement. "We can’t wait to hang this summer with our friends Fitz and the Tantrums, Ripe and DJ Logic!"

Founded and led by Marc Roberge in 1996, the band kicked off its indie revolution through word-of-mouth, attracting new listeners and audiences organically, with little to no advertising or marketing in place. That's how you know how good they are. Their music definitely speaks for itself. By 2005, the band found its big break as their fifth LP "Stories of a Stranger" met critical acclaim from new listeners and critics. It served their hits singles "Love and Memories", "Heard the World", and "Lay Down". The following year marked a monumental milestone in their career, a sold-out show at the iconic Madison Square Garden, bagging their first review by The New York Times.

To this day, the revolution keeps pushing through. In 2022, they released their newest LP "The Arcade". Serving new and eccentric energies of positivity through a roster of rockin' anthems, it's acclaimed for its exploration of new sonic influences. It's a welcome change, offering fresh beats amidst life's tough days. Everyone tuned in to its hit single "In The Clouds".

"It's stocked with truly awesome songs that will surely translate to energetic live performances we are going to make the most of at our concerts for years to come," Gershman shared with The Aquarian.

Having kicked off their sonic revolution in the late '90s, they continue to inspire and uplift rock heads around the globe. "Like O.A.R. itself, the songs are a melding of multiple imaginations, games in the arcade, each one having it's own story, lights, and sounds, but all under the same roof," Roberge shared, via Grateful Web.

It's gonna be one heck of a wild summer trek with O.A.R. Taking their friends on the road, you're in for a fantastic show at the Summer Tour 24. Part of the tour's proceeds will also be donated to O.A.R's own nonprofit, Heard The World Fund, supporting youth education and communities in need.
